Pierre de Coubertin Award 2022 - SPORTS TESTS
These tests are designed in true Olympic spirit to promote participation. All students should have the opportunity to succeed with the appropriate amount of training and effort.
At the 13th Forum the test will include a cross country race, stone throwing (shot put), long jump with weigths (= halters, an ancient Greek sport), steeplechase (2x50m) and paralympic bowling (or boccia) from a sitting position.
Rating
1. He/she can fail in one event without a resit.
2. If a student fails in two events, he/she will get a chance of a resit in one of the failed events.
3. If a student fails in three events, he/she will not be allowed any resits.
4. The minimum performances are as follows:
1. Cross-country
A distance of 2500m is run, a ranking list will be set up after the race.
Shot put, all approved techniques of shot put are allowed, a natural stone is used, 215cm for acceleration are available.
Boys about 5kg – 8m, Girls about 3kg – 7m
3. Long jump with weights (= halters, an ancient Greek sport)
Starts from a standing position with a weight (1kg) on each hand, five jumps stung together (continuously).
Boys 800 cm, Girls 700 cm
4. Steeplechase (2x50m)
Running a steeplechase, 50m in one direction and the same way back, various obstacles have to be crossed.
Boys 20.0 sec, Girls 25.0 sec
5. Paralympic bowling (or boccia) from a sitting position
The bowl is thrown from a sitting position, one pin must be hit.
